  • Fire Resistance: If fire safety is a concern, Cabot Veneer Board meets the requirements for fire-rated gypsum boards. It’s essential for maintaining safety standards in buildings.
  • EIFS Applications: Cabot Sheathing Board, another product from Cabot Gypsum, can be used in EIFS (Exterior Insulation and Finish Systems) applications when specified by an EIFS manufacturer. This versatility extends to the overall construction process.

In summary, Cabot Veneer Board combines quality, natural materials, and versatility, making it an excellent choice for your construction needs

Description

Cabot Gypsum Veneer Board has a core of noncombustible; dimensionally stable gypsum rock sandwiched between a face layer of 100% recycled blue/gray colored paper and a brown back paper. The face paper is designed to absorb moisture and allow plaster products to adhere to the surface yet protect the core/paper bond. The face paper is formed along each long edge, and wrapped and sealed to the paper on the backside. This produces a strong yet flexible panel in convenient width and lengths. Even though Cabot Gypsum Veneer Board have some inherent fire resistant characteristics it is not intended for use in assemblies requiring a fire rating.

Cabot Gypsum Veneer Board can be used for most walls, partitions and ceilings in both new commercial and residential construction and remodelling work. Cabot Gypsum Veneer Board is an excellent barrier to the transmission of noise and thermal energies but must be installed in the proper thickness and methods that has been tested to achieve the desired rating as per Standard Specification for Application and Finishing of Gypsum Board, ASTM C 840, non rated construction.
