Installing MBI insulation requires careful planning and execution to ensure optimal thermal performance and moisture control. Here’s a professional guide to help you through the process:

1. Preparation

• Inspect the insulation upon arrival to ensure it matches the order and is free from defects.
• Store insulation in a dry, protected area to prevent damage before installation.
• Identify the correct rolls using the provided cutlist and labels.

2. Installation Process 

         Wall Installation

• Begin at a corner of the building, securing the insulation to the exterior side of the wall girts.
• Extend the roll beyond the corner and wrap it around to eliminate cold spots.
• Use a temporary panel to hold the insulation in place until the wall is finished.

         Roof Installation

• Unroll insulation continuously from eave to eave, ensuring proper alignment.
• If using shorter rolls, split them near the ridge purlin for a seamless fit.
• Secure insulation with the appropriate tab and tape configuration, following manufacturer recommendations.

3. Sealing & Finishing

• Use factory-applied double-sided tape or staples to secure seams and prevent air leaks.
• Ensure vapor retarders are properly installed to minimize condensation.
• Once insulation is in place, proceed with wall sheeting per manufacturer guidelines.
